He caught it in the middle of the pandemic, paired with "flu like symptoms". Isn't long covid quite similar?

Long Covid is just any long term effects from a Covid infection. ME is the most prevalent one. I think it makes up about 50 % of Long Covid cases.

Personally I suspect that ME can generally develop from viral infections. Epstein Barr is known to lead to ME and now Covid 19. I bet there are tons more, including common colds and flu.
