Chainsaw Jack:

I come to an app from the other side of the world to see what's going on 1 hour drive from my house because they don't cover it in our news!!! Our news is heavily censored here. It's despicable.

That's around 300 people in the photo.

Were you one of them?

This is great. I love to see it. Congrats Americans. Keep it up, fight your oppressors. Sincerely me, a Canadian.

This made me smile. You guys keep kicking ass and fighting back against US bullshit up there as well. I've seen the whole Buy Canadian movement and it's awesome.

That's from the No Kings Day protest. ~~Different event.~~

I stand corrected. Apparently Salt Lake did a march that day in addition to protesting at their capitol. My bad!

[-] lud@lemm.ee 1 points 5 hours ago

What event is that from then, and what are they protesting for/against?

My mistake. I did some further digging and it looks like SLC did a march to their capitol where they then protested for No Kings. Soo.. kinda two events but not really ๐Ÿ˜…

Resist: It's Time

We are still in this together, but "this" is going to be real different in the very near future. This demands a different kind of "we."

The French Resistance during Nazi occupation played important roles delivering downed Allied airmen back to safety, supplying military intelligence, and acts of sabotage.

The Underground Railroad is estimated to have brought 100,000 freedom seekers to safety between 1810 and 1850.

It's time.
