It seems that this channel is a pro-Putin simp and an anti-EU fearmogerer. Proceed with caution.

There’s a fair amount of empty rhetoric in Vance’s speech, of the pot calling the kettle black. It’s not as if this administration is going to break from the previous ones in terms of working to control speech and throw elections.

How do you feel about the Romania cancelled elections, only because a conservative had won? Which the EU did not like.

Ultimately I think the fact that there’s virtually no anti-war left left in Europe (or in the US for that matter) is the worst part of it all, because the far right isn’t, in any principled way, anti-war.

The neoconservative West had the election cancelled on the flimsiest of excuses: another RussiaGate conspiracy theory, because the results were unacceptable. Bourgeois democracies aren’t really democratic to begin with, but even still that was a coup move. https://xcancel.com/aaronjmate/status/1891619825023369330

I agree with you mostly — except for the right not being antiwar. It's probably the neoCons in the US Deep State you're most likely referring to. The irony of all this, is that it's the Conservative crowd are the ones that primarily are anti-war now in the USA. The traditional roles have reversed, it's the extreme left and NeoLibs that are the warmongers. This is why I'm no longer a leftie, as I'm old enough to have protested in the 60s against war. The left is no longer my left, especially in Canada, with all this stupid gender theory crap that goes against nature and the natural way of things. It's bloody insane. Children under the age of majority being allowed to take hormone blockers etc., but I'm digressing.

By far right I mean the Trumpers, Germany’s AfD, and other European fellow travelers. They’re not anti-war, they’re anti-this particular war. They’re not against the ethnic cleansing of Palestine or the annexation of Greenland. So far this second Trump administration seems to want to refocus on the Monroe Doctrine and on containing China (somehow).

The left is no longer my left, especially in Canada, with all this stupid gender theory crap that goes against nature and the natural way of things.

I mostly disagree here. While the liberal left’s pinkwashing is pretty crap, the actual left’s gender theory and critical race theory are solid, and gender essentialism is illusory.

Trumpers aren't far right, they're conservative, big difference. There may some elements that are, but the majority aren't what I would call Far Right. NeoLiberalism is far right authoritarian if you want to get specific. The cancelling of individuals for unpopular ideas, is Far Right behaviour as well.

Joe Bolton is a prime example of Far Right (NeoCon), Mike Pompeo, and John McCain.

You really should watch the Joe Rogan video I posted this evening. Might open some eyes.

I don't know enough about the German AFD and I hesitate to call them far right because I'm jaded enough to know that because we're being fed that, doesn't necessarily make it so.

We should be fearful when governments deny political parties the right to form a government, as the current government in Germany is trying to do with the AfD. and what is happend in Romania. This is NOT democracy. Neither is weaponizing censorship, which even Canada is doing.

of the pot calling the kettle black

I agree with you. There's nobody here I would vote for personally.

The discussion in the video is focused on this speech: (Vice President JD Vance Delivers Remarks at the Munich Security Conference) so I recommend watching that first if you haven't seen it yet.
