I lost a lot of respect for Ted Talks when these guys were allowed to use theirs as an ad.

I checked before this comment and it is posted on the TED channel, not TED X.
They've had a few crappy ones. There was chicken soup for the soul guy.
I didn't get TED's appeal in general back when I used them to learn English. Way too short, it's over just as you get focused. Quickly found out "normal", 30+ minute podcasts worked better.
