They finally decided to "Finnish" the Moon.

Funny thing, it's just a box full of Nokia 3110's. The batteries last just fine all the way through the lunar night.

This isn’t Reddit. Why are you still using the fucking /s. Jesus Christ. People came here to get away from the dumb-shits on Reddit. And you just go “Durr, /s mean im joking.”

All /s does is say “please don’t downvote me, the fake internet points means too much to me.”

We get fucking sarcasm. Just because you’re dumb as fuck doesn’t mean WE need the S. Grow the fuck up.

You could just be kind and everything would be fine

People assume everyone can read every tone until someone suddenly doesn't

It's gonna be okay, really. What's the worst that can happen with a not-even-mandatory tone tag?

Edit: Never mind, judging by your comment history you are obsessively toxic, going to just block.

Hey! Fuck you!

Don't listen to this person. I'm dumb and appreciate the added clarification. /srs

Oh, so you actually thought it was a box of Nokias, and then saw the “/s” and thought “oh my! It was a joke!”

Yeah. Not buying it.

Reality is often stranger than fiction

There's been some great microsats built around cell phones.

https://space.skyrocket.de/doc_sdat/phonesat-v1.htm

They're just computers with batteries, sensors, and radios. The rigors of space are the real issue, but their functionality is spot on for the needs onboard satellites. Using one as a base station for communications would be an option too.

Nah, you're wrong. People's reading comprehension on Lemmy is unironically worse than anywhere else I've ever been.

[-] HawtTism@lemm.ee 1 points 2 days ago

Why is it “unironically” worse? Saying it’s ironically worse doesn’t even make sense…but UNironically? Please tell me how that makes sense.

Wow, you are one pedantic fuck.

It's not enough capitalists destroy our planet. They have to mess up other bodies in our system.

[-] x00z@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

It's fucking sad and selfish.

What you get for free costs too much.

I know, I hate this timeline.

NASA’s Artemis program calls for bringing the astronauts back to the moon as early as 2028 and further expanding that presence into a permanent habitat in 2030s

Can't believe it's taking this long to get a moon base, but by god, any news on this front is good news!

Considering the political climate; I'm not.

The major world powers that could achieve this have had... Other priorities, unfortunately.
