Dang. At least a lot of people saw it. They can't remove them forever.

Its slow but steady.

I wonder how much more bullshit the majority of Reddit users will accept to swallow before they decide it's enough, if they ever realize that, and that they should be searching for an alternative to share their content which, btw, is the only thing that makes reddit worth anything.

People are very stubborn, even off of social media. Even when something seems "objectively better" they will literally not move no matter what. Patience i'd say is the key.

Not just stubborn, but also lazy. I probably would not have left reddit when I did if they hadn't killed the app that was the only way I'd interacted with the site for over a decade. I wish the app had made the transition, too, as I was very comfortable with it and liked the look of their dark mode.

Which app did you lose?

Yes that's probably a better term. Same with me, i was too ignorant and rejected it due to it mostly being criticized on reddit.

The fact that reddit continues to enshittify means that they are getting enough users to sign up and continue to use the site.

Reddit continues to be a top search result on Google and ddg for most questions.

Until people stop going to reddit, why would they stop enshittifying?

100% agree. That's also why I'm so surprised more people are not realizing how bad it's turning (I quit posting on reddit for that reason, I still read it though)
