My local school district reiterated their current policies for handling access to students and student data and that they would continue to not allow non-parents to check out students without a court order. And that they were going to continue teaching about the diversity of human experience.

Hell yeah, go John Thein from St. Paul Public Schools! MN is still a Trans Refuge state. We've still got a long way to go, with not infrequent acts of violence perpetrated against Transgender citizens, but this is the right stand for our educators to be taking. And sadly this likely won't be consistent outside of the Twin Cities Metro. But I'll take even the slightest bit of good news right about now.
