As I wash my hands I remember, I forgot to pee

This one gets me all the time:

Better wash my hands before I start cooking.

I should also pee before I get started cooking

Guess I'm washing my hands again.

This is so real ๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿ˜ซ

This kind of thing bugs me so much.

At one point I had to sit down and write out a list of every action I do whenever I get home, and then sequence them to minimize the required number of handwashings.

Finishes taking a piss and then starts working on something I started 2 weeks ago with no memory of what I was doing before.

Is ADHD like a mental version of Progeria?

[-] isles@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

Given the rate and age of onset of dementia / Alzheimer's for people with ADHD, I can understand where you'd get this. But no, I wouldn't use the example as evidence of advanced aging or senility, it happens for kids, too.
