I misread the title and thought you were asking for the best music for piracy. I was gonna suggest Alestorm.
The best piracy for music is digital piracy. Literal ship-based piracy is very inefficient when it comes to acquiring tunes.
What about sea shanties?
I'm in favor, for sure. Still, those tend to already be public domain 🤷
The best piracy is the kind with a sword in your hand and a parrot on your shoulder.

Deemix to DL all your music. And media servers like JellyFin/Emby/Plex to host the data. That's the only way to get the best Music Exp.
I was thinking about setting up a jellyfin server that could be publicly accessible from a domain I own. Something like jellyfin.neocamel.com, which would point to my jellyfin server on my home windows PC, but it sounds like that opens up some pretty serious security concerns.
I think you can set up a cloudfare tunnel to alleviate security concerns and it seems like an easy setup
I haven't touched that aspect so can't really comment on the security aspect. But if it's behind PWD and stuff, it should be good IG.
Download mp3 or flac from artists you like. Install jellyfin or plex on an old PC, laptop, or raspberry pi and store the music there. Install finamp or plexamp on your phone. And you got your own personal spotify that you can access from anywhere
Can I manage this from android?
You have to keep on the computer that is running jellyfin/plex server. Then as long as the server is running and everything is set up, you can access all of your own songs and playlists from the android app.
There are a ton of tutorials out there for setting up jellyfin or plex.
I like muffon for streaming. I select vk as my source which has all the weeb/jp/doujin music that I like. I also very often use youtube music (with revanced to give ad-free listening). There's really not a lot of good options out there for music if you listen to anything other than the most mainstream stuff.
Muffon is awesome, I just discovered it. I actually compared audio quality to Nuclear and Muffon always pulls tracks with higher bitrates and really you can even hear the difference. Recommended by me too!
Soulseek using Nicotine+ is the best solution I found so far, if you are happy with worse quality you can alos get it from Youtube but on Soulseek you often find flac and mp3 to choose from, just make sure to redistribute a little too! ;)
The "best", in my opinion, would be a private music tracker.
private music trackers never have anything I want to listen to tbh, and they're always way too hard to get credit for. kinda pointless.
Yeah for sure, the actual answer is that the "best" is relative to your needs. But they work for me.
Its not actually pirating, but vimusic is free youtube music with no adds and it doesnt need account. Its amazing if you need it on phone only
I just google “[name of song] free download” which works about 59% of the time
Difficult to find flacs or WAV that way
There's an app on the playstore called "datmusic". It's $6 or so and rips music from Deezer @ 320kbps to full on lossless FLAC. No subscription is needed unless you want to download an entire playlist.
It feels and looks like Spotify to me, just without the subscription part.
My two main sources are Soulseek and newalbumreleases dot net
It depends what you want. If you aren't very picky about quality and just want files locally it's relatively easy to find tools. If you want FLAC files, streaming, or some sort of algorithm it gets a bit more complicated.
There's so many telegram communities providing flacs from deezer, tidal and qobuz. Search for @flacrequestgroup for example.

Download your own MP3a or Flac and host it in your NAS wirh zerotier or tailscale.
Seal is a very good app to download audio from YouTube, you can get it on f-droid or GitHub

If you have Android, Murglar is pretty good for downloading files, playlists, albums, etc from Deezer or SoundCloud
I just use 4K Video Downloader+ to download music from YouTube. The free version only allows you to download up to 30 videos/music tracks per day, but by buying a personal license or a pro license and activating the app with one of those licenses, then there is no download limit. Although it may not be recommended if you are an audiophile unless you don't have any qualms with lossy audio.
you don't need to use paid tools to download videos or audios from youtube. Try yt-dlp
