OK. That is VERY cool! I want to change my vote! Visconti . Pfft! Silly me.

Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age. I really like the look of that pen but I will admit to some serious reservations regarding their nib QC. I don't expect to pay out that much for a pen and then have to send it to a nibmeister to get it to write properly. It is all dreaming anyway. No way I can spend that on a pen any time soon and I've more than enough of my own pens to rediscover.

A titanium Kaweco Sport (not Majohn's take). It's a grail because it doesn't exist yet, but I'm not giving up hope.

Realistically speaking, a CAISO Conid Kingsize demonstrator and a Conid Regular R DCB DB FT TI model are the two grails.

I would want a slightly longer version of a kaweco sport with an integrated filling mechanism and a broad nib. I almost have that with my shaeffer pocket pen, but it needs more length and a clip.

For a long time, mine was the Lamy 2000. Now that I have it, I do love it - but I'm a little worried to take it out of the house.

Low tier, actually obtainable if I work on saving the money, it's the Pilot Custom 823. I'm planning to have one maybe by the end of the year, finally.

Mid tier is the classic Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age - i don't think I'll be able to buy it for myself, but if someone wants to give me a luxurious present, it can be this.

My real grail pen though is a Montblanc with flexible nib. I don't think I'll ever have this much money lying around for a single fountain pen, or the guts to ask someone to gift it to me, and I don't think it can possibly be worth the money (or maybe it is?), but still :D

I am happy to say that I have none now. Not that I have gotten all the pens I fell in love with but I am happy with my 2023 purchase. Maybe as 2024 rolls around I may reopen the conversation with myself again.

@hsl@wayfarershaven.eu If you mean pen I aspire to but can't afford, it would be the Pelikan M900 Toledo, because it's so beautiful.

Not sure if it's my grail pen but lately I've been drooling over Maki-e pens, especially the Platinum 3776 urushi maki-e. I'm currently looking for a new job and I think when I get one it will be my present to myself.

Tough one. I really love my everyday pen, a Pelikan M400 in tortoise brown. Grail, maybe a Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age.
