Archive.org has a Spice Channel TV video up that someone must have recorded on VHS. Hard to watch because there's a lot of flickering from the old tape. I did, and I realized that the body mechanics of left leg + right shoulder forward make less sense unless one is preparing for a twirl, or maybe the end of a forehand stroke (from tennis).

It is. The Mid-Atlantic Ridge is clearly visible in OP's picture as a ribbon of lighter blue.
