Donald Trump Jr.: Internet do your thing and find this guy.

My favorite quote from an Internet "sleuthing" community leader of Tiktok:

She added that, rather than sleuthing, her community has “concepts of thoughts and prayers."

None of these people have shed a single tear for the people hurt or killed by the healthcare system and people like him.

Please find this guy for me. I want to buy him a Blu-Ray and an ice cream.

[-] Contentedness@lemmy.nz 11 points 1 week ago

Like a Blu-Ray player or just a movie?

[-] ZagamTheVile@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago

A movie. You need more tickets to get a player, but we'll keep track of your points.

Just a movie, what do you think think they are, made of money?

[-] dragonfucker@lemmy.nz 6 points 1 week ago

Find him, but only so i can give my testimony that he was actually in my store half the country away at the time of the shooting. I remember him vividly, law enforcement, he couldn't have been the guy.

Meanwhile the other party selects billionaires as cabinet members.

He and Kobluchar responded, because the guy was from their state, so they felt they should say something. The fact that they are attacked solely because they weren't making death threats is mind blowing. Their job as politicians is to put regulations to thwart these practices, not kill people.

You can have your own opinion about the CEO, but you don't want politicians resolve problems by killing people. We saw this in Germany in 30s and 40s.

They could've just not tweeted anything. No one had a gun to their head forcing them to tweet. There is no binary of tweet pro CEO or pro shooter.

They did not tweet for all the other gun related deaths that have happened in their State this month. They did not tweet for all the people UHC killed in their State. They are playing favorites, and their favorite victim is the multi millionaire with a lot of blood on his hands.

He sent this tweet two hours after the incident. No one knew at the time what were the motivations behind it. All they knew at the time was that CEO of subsidary headquartered in Minnesota was shot (by accident or otherwise) and that was it. We later learned the rest.

What were the gun related deaths that weren't tweeted about?

By all means I don't feel sorry for this guy, I agree with the sentiment, but I don't want politicians to be the ones asking to murder someone. I want them to regulate, so killing people this way is not possible.

Ok so 124 victims of gun violence in Minnesota in 2023 without any context. It could be gang violence, shot by police, suicide etc. When you say somebody didn't comment about someone else's death you would know the victim name and some background story what happened.

[-] zaph@sh.itjust.works 40 points 1 week ago

It could be gang violence, shot by police, suicide etc

Why are any one of those lives less important?

[-] Tinidril@midwest.social 31 points 1 week ago

I dunno, but it kinda sounds like they might be black or poor.

[-] odium@programming.dev 33 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Me not knowing specifics of a single other homicide out of those hundreds is proving my point.

Why would I know details about specific homicides on the opposite side of the country to me? The news didn't have it on the front page. Major politicians didn't tweet about them. The only reason I know about this one is because the news isn't treating this one the same as the rest and every national us news site has it plastered on the front page.

I want to know about this one equally as much as others like it that happened to less rich ppl.

[-] noscere@sh.itjust.works 11 points 1 week ago

Wait, SO you are both defending Wallz for sending a condolences tweet for a dead evil CEO because there wasn't any context to the killing yet, and defending him for not tweeting about the other 124 victims in his state because there wasn't enough context. Kinda sounds like you are just defending Wallz because you like him.

[-] odium@programming.dev 12 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I don't want them to ask ppl to murder others either. I want them to treat the deaths of people the same regardless of how much money the victim has.
