Okay, so that was way more painful than expected... /sigh
Thank you for the hard work. I'm sorry it ran longer than you expected.
While you all are (potentially) still working on the server, I tried to upload my PFP to see if the upload has been fixed, instead it says that magick isn't installed or currently in $PATH
{"data":{"msg":"Required command magick not found, make sure it exists in pict-rs' $PATH","files":null},"state":"success"}
Sorry to keep harping on this again and again.
Pict-rs was what caused the extra downtime, and I'm still fixing it up. I'll make sure uploads work again before I finish up.
Thank you so much! I know it’s silly but I’ve really been missing my profile picture.
Okay, check it out now, fully restructured, migrated and upgraded pict-rs to v0.4.2, and imagemagick is all sorted out too,
Ahh, the famous „Shouldn’t take longer than X downtime“ 😄 Multiplying the estimated time by four worked well for me, saves you a lot of stress…
There seems to be some kind of problem with the images where they are cropping really weirdly (like they become 16:9), but it could just be my end.
Thanks for taking the time to upgrade things as well, it sucks when a "15 minute" upgrade turns into hours of work
Edit: checking 196 by new the images are suspiciously 16:9 https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/c/196?dataType=Post&page=1&sort=New
Fixed it! The new pict-rs config file example had a pre-processing example line I missed that was munging the images as soon as you uploaded them.
Yay!
Edit: Just tested it with some wizard posting, it's all workings thanks :)
