Congrats, may it grow into a giant stump someone else has to deal with 150 years from now.

If anyone removes natives to plant fir trees they deserve that fate.

Oh hell yeah!

I really want to get some nut trees going. I have two giant maple trees so I am a little protective of my sun exposure.

Do you happen to know of any nut trees that don't get massive? We planted some apple trees in the front that don't get too big. I suppose pruning is the other way to achieve this.

I'm a native plant person, my only non natives planted are avocado and mulberry because I am a weak creature of flesh and blood.

As far as Aussie nuts I basically only know macadamia ~ 3-8 meters, dwarf form possible but nutmeat is quite small, and bunya nuts ~ 30 meters sometimes kills people with falling megapinecone nut things.
