Saw this recently on a WAN Show (19:12). How true is this? It sounds wild.

Largely true but varies with age.

There are some additional options too; we often measure distance by driving time, e.g. six hours from Calgary, ten hours to Vancouver, and so on.

This annoys me so much because I only know metric and I have zero concept of scale for imperial. I used to work on a ship and like sure use knots for speed I can get that, but why are we using imperial for depth and water temp??
