Everything he says is true. Spez doesn't care about any of the community. And won't just be him. Sure he is the CEO, but it won't just be his decision to treat the community and mods as trash.

I've been on reddit once since the blackout. And that was to read an old post that answered a tech question I had.

I have zero intention of returning to reddit as a frequent user unless they resolve this shit.

But once lemmy and others have become bigger. I won't need to visit reddit anymore.

I just hope the big subs that are still privet and restricted remain so.

Amazing video, Luis is right on spot, I personally stopped being spez's doormat.

I stopped using reddit the day the blackout began, I went back after it only to send a GDPR request and unsub from all subs that reopened.

I used the time away from reddit to be involved in lemmy as much as possible, and you know what? I don't miss reddit anymore, my new home is here now and it'll stay that way for the foreseeable future.

I knew the link was going to be to Louis' video. That guy is great! He articulates our modern problems with tech ownership so well
