New hat (midwest.social)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by vernknitsthings@midwest.social to c/knitting@lemmy.world

I haven't been knitting as much this year as I usually would, so it took me about a month to finish this. Super simple knit, but I'm glad it's done so I can start on the colorwork socks I've been excited to try. Pattern is Thermal Cap by Kate Salomon.

What kind of yarn did you use? I like the striping and think it works well with that pattern!

Beautiful!

Thanks! My goal was to find something more interesting to knit than plain stockinette that would also work with the striping ๐Ÿ™‚ I used Premier Yarns Wool Free Sock yarn.

Looks great! Slipped stitches on variegated yarn always looks so cool, you can't go wrong ๐Ÿ˜„
