Is the permanent blackout a scheduled thing, or is it because all the apps will go down?

[-] HooptyDooDooMeister@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Scheduled. It will function exactly how it's functioning right now.

I can't wait for the reddit servers to shit themselves again.

Or we could fill the whole site with porn and gore as soon Reddit goes public to decrease shareholder value.

considering the doubling down I think the number of communities committing to a perm blackout starting now is increasing as well.

It's not much but I put /r/switchroot on lockdown and don't know when I'm gonna bring it back up

It takes a drop to make an ocean. Thank you for doing your part.

Now that we moved off from reddit, can we stop with this sarcastic uppercase lowercase way of writing? I automatically skip any title written like that. It just takes so much cognitive effort to read

Please I hope it continues I really love lemmy and jerboa is improving so much so fast these days thanks to accrued interest.

I know some people here would prefer for things to remain quiet but the potential of the fediverse is really under used let's grow this place and then fix the new problems that will come.

[-] brownbreadboy@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago
