Yeah, because I'm doing it more frequently. I think it's the design of this particular one. I've seen other comments say the same thing (on a video about how to clean it thoroughly, disassembling pump and everything).
If water is in the bowl it'll only drink if it's moving, but if it's anywhere else than it can be dirty
Bonus points for toilet water, and water from my foot bath when I go into the other room.

I've got a dog that stays outside most of the time, she will not drink the clean water I set outside if there are any puddles in the mud and gravel
