Indeed.... As a snowboard enthusiast, this season sucked and if the rumours as to be believed, we are in for a mosquito and tick infested summer ahead

Canadian farmers are going to have a rough, drought-filled year.

Alberta is already looking at rationing water resources.

But apareny the oil barons are making record profits and telling everyone there is nothing anyone can do to stop them

We'll see. Last year was looking like a disaster, then we got rain in late June and got one of the best hay crops in years, despite fighting fires on our doorstep, and good grain crops.

Weather does strange stuff. An inch of rain at exactly the right time does more than 12 at the wrong time.

And it was noticeable, too. Not much snow. Only a few cold snaps. Fire seasons going to be crazy this year.

Fire seasons going to be crazy this year.

Farmers are going to have poorer crops due to lack of soil moisture at the start of the growing season. Which will probably lead to higher food prices later in the year.

This is the coldest winter we'll ever see again.

Not necessarily, we're on the tail end of El Nino, so we should get colder winters for a bit once that ends.

The last winter of La Nina will be the coldest winter we'll have again from that point forward, it's hell from there on out

I was jogging outside half a dozen times each in February and March. Before this year I'd never jogged in either month outside in Canada. There are tons of flower blossoms already. I'm already curious what next winter will look like to help make sense of if this winter was exceptionally warm and/or if climate change is accelerating

The bugs are going to be unbearable this year.
