MODERATORS
I normally lurk, but I feel more comfortable posting here than on Reddit for some reason. On reddit I would mostly just upvote or downvote posts and move on.
This kind of feels like the way reddit did more than a decade ago. It's not nearly as busy as when I joined reddit in 2011, but the comments feel more approachable, more engaging, more human.
Honestly feels like I've traveled back in time 10+ years, it feels way more chill and 100% more approachable
definitely not just a huge, single room talking festival like reddit feels like sometimes
I think it's the lack of bots.
Speaking of which, what exactly is preventing bots here?
Nothing really, although I imagine if a particular instance was getting overrun with bots the admin or mods would probably step in and possible prevent new accounts from signing up or something
Reddit was not always so toxic with its replies, I think that can be managed better here really.
