Always understood the appeal to be explained as Radiohead Lite

That probably explains why I hate cold play and while Radiohead is not my taste at other than a few here and there, I definitely get why people like them
Radiohead, but Thom Yorke is on vacation so they just hire someone from the local art school to write songs instead.
