Anglish is a kind of English which prefers native words over those borrowed from foreign languages. Anglish is linguistic purism applied to English.

Linguistic purism or linguistic protectionism is the prescriptive practice of defining or recognizing one variety of a language as being purer or of intrinsically higher quality than other varieties

I won't say with confidence that fascists haven't looked at it and though "Fuck yeah, no more French" but I feel like that definition is a bit narrow. I don't think there's any implied superiority with Anglish.

To me it seems like an interesting experiment to demonstrate just how much English was influenced by French and how weird and nearly unintelligible it seems when you strip it all out.

There's also an inverse experiment to conceive of an Anglese language if English had leaned more into French and developed into a full-fledged Romance language while maintaining some English phonology.
