  1. Why do you have seconds on your clock
  2. I hate the searchbar at the bottom
[-] Micromot@feddit.de 27 points 9 months ago

The searchbar on the bottom is very nice for big phones as you don't have to move your hand to get it

It may have its practical use, but I've got to admit it feels like standing facing the back of an elevator. There's nothing wrong about it per se, but it seems awkward due to decades of social conditioning.

[-] Micromot@feddit.de 6 points 9 months ago

I have kinda gotten used to it being like that because I have it like that for 2-3 years now and didn't even notice, so I'm not really able to say how socially acceptable it is but I have gotten comments before when people looked at my phone

[-] LinkOpensChest_wav 2 points 9 months ago

Nothing wrong with that! I just don't think I'd adjust well to it myself. I still haven't adapted to the discord layout change from last year, not to mention web 3.0. I'm too set in my ways with technology

Might be an age thing as I'm still quite young, idk about you

[-] LinkOpensChest_wav 1 points 9 months ago

I'm ... pretty old lol. That could be why.

Unless you tend to use your phone in landscape like me.
It still feels weird anyway.

i like the bottom searchbar, i have a large phone

and the seconds in the clock are useful to me

[-] Crow 5 points 9 months ago

I'm pretty sure the bottom bar is the default by now, and it definitely makes more sense

[-] 0x2d@lemmy.ml 4 points 9 months ago

[-] HelloHotel@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago

It does exist on stock, its just the setting to turn it on got lost.

[-] Aethr@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago

[-] Blisterexe@lemmy.zip 1 points 9 months ago

additionally, ou can use (mostly) any extensions on firefox android now!

[-] user224@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 9 months ago

I like the seconds. Unfortunately, it isn't available on my phone. But there is something called "floating clock" in developer settings which does have seconds. It's always on screen wherever I place it.
It looks like this:

Android? "Super Status Bar"

[-] sag@lemm.ee 1 points 9 months ago

Use this to get seconds in Status bar.
