Absolutely no defense of GamerGate and other right-wing harassment campaigns, no TERFs and transphobia, racism, dismissing of war crimes and praise of fascists. This includes “JAQing off”, intentionally asking leading questions while pretending to be a neutral party. This also applies to other forms of authoritarianism and authoritarian or criminal actions by liberal or leftist governments.
NSFW threads, such as ones discussing erotic art, pornography and sex work, must be tagged as such.
Moderators can take action even if none of the rules above are broken.

Ah I’m not in love with the other comments so far. Those commenters are all complaining class based wealth and wage disparity. That’s 100% a problem. A really big one! But the actress’s statement is about gender discrimination. And that is also a big problem.
We should never use the existence one problem to diminish or ignore others.
When she is out earning the other women in her field, she can speak up on this topic.
Sandra Bullock landed 70 million out of a single gig more than 5 times this ladies' net worth. Last I checked, Sandra Bullock identified as a woman.
Margot Robbie is salaried at this ladies' lifetime earning off of just Barbie.
Actor pay is not anything comparable to working class wages.
Her complaint isn't happening in a vacuum, it's happening in an economy that has single working mothers earning 10 bucks an hour while she's a fucking millionaire.

I quite honestly can not even imagine a worse one, because any "worse" one at least would more honestly betray the sexism of the holder. You've managed to hit peak bad faith argument before slipping into overtly championing sexism.
For those of us with the capacity to have two non-competing ideas in our heads at once, it's extremely easy. The mental gymnastics you have to do here in order to maintain exactly one concept in your head at once honestly looks painful to me.
Yes, she has earned more money than most people ever will. That's problem #1.
Yes, there is a wage gap. That's problem #2.
Any person with a shred of mental capacity doesn't have to make a choice between these two ideas.

By your logic, she is simultaneously:
Not well paid enough to speak on the issue, (because Sandra Bullock?)
Paid too much to be able to speak on the issue (because she needs a second yacht?)
Well, no, because you already said she needs to make more than Sandra Bullock, who makes more than her, but she already makes too much.

JFC now you're saying she thinks women can't earn more than her? "I think I'd earn more as a man" and "I think women can't out earn me" aren't even close to the same statement.
I swear to god it's just a steady stream of you just making shit up. It's obvious why nobody can keep up with you: you're existing in a fantasy where you're fabricating a reality completely unteathered from the one the rest of us are existing in. I genuinely envy the freedom you have to reason from a context unconstrained from the annoyances of trying to reconcile your position with objective reality.
