Java:

Problem -> NullPointerException.

[-] bleistift2@feddit.de 33 points 11 months ago

More like

Problem โ†’ new ProblemSolverFactory().createProblemSolver().solveProblem();

[-] MajorHavoc@programming.dev 18 points 11 months ago

Exactly. And configured by 5000 lines of brittle XML.

[-] renzev@lemmy.world 14 points 11 months ago

XML is great because while most config formats compromise on either being human-readable or machine-readable, XML solves this problem by being utterly incomprehensible to man and machine alike ๐Ÿ˜

[-] Faresh@lemmy.ml 1 points 11 months ago

Is xml really that unreadable for machines? I enjoy xml as a format, because I can generally just convert it to an s-expression and easily manipulate it as a tree.

But you repeat yourself.

[-] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 11 points 11 months ago

Needs more Beans and AbstractFactoryFactory

[-] mryessir@lemmy.sdf.org 8 points 11 months ago

No internal logging framework/facade used!

[-] deathmetal27@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago

And then it throws a NullPointerException.

[-] RustyNova@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago

Great! The problem is lost in the memory. That means it doesn't exist anymore right? Right?
