~/.fontsisn't XDG Base Directory compliant. You should put them in${XDG_DATA_HOME:-$HOME/.local/share}/fontsinstead so as to not pollute your home directory with dotfiles.SPLOOSH!

Using the spec makes it simpler to deal with backups.
