Thousands of users reported that they had major issues using the platform last weekend, including an inability to access any tweets or to post their own tweets – so, basically, everything for which one might want to use Twitter.

Elon would never ruin Twitter deliberately. Not because of any moral scruples (he has none) but because he's got such a massive ego which is pegged to him being some kind of tech/business genius. The boring truth is just that he's believed his own hype and now he's out of his depth.
