MODERATORS
The conditions in which it thrives.
It's easy to listen to what they say and take away that the degradation of society is their problem. It ain't.
They're real problem is that their economic and social conditions fail to address their needs.
This is kinda true of all extremists, some more than others. But happy, well-fed people generally aren't amenable to fascist fear mongering. What is threat does women's equality if you can literally eat cake after buying enough groceries for your family?
So, while a lot of the analysis of fascism focuses on their rhetoric and their self-professed beliefs, I rarely find such analysis connects their material conditions to the rhetorical force of fascist speeches.
