For example, I play the drums and tend to think of myself as a drummer. Do you love games, consider yourself a gamer? Are you a chef, a bodybuilder, maybe an artist? What is it that you love to do?

Honest advice, as someone who doesn’t really consume that much porn on here, I recommend that if you want more of us real kinksters a bdsmcommunity type community may draw us better. I checked it out over there and it looked like a question surrounded by porn, which tends to leave folks assuming it’s a porn community not a discussion community

We're working on getting more non porn content, it just came under new management so it's a recent development. We wanna expand and get conversation and community going. I get its not there yet, but thanks for taking the time to check it out! I super appreciate it 💜

Yeah I still think that separating the two will be good for both’s health (it’s basically the selfie problem of moderating small spaces), but I’m glad you’re building something of it here and I’ll try to keep an eye on it. And feel free to message or link or however you summon people on lemmy me when a leatherdyke’s opinion is needed lol. I do enjoy dispelling people’s ideas of what actual bdsm is like, especially between people who actually know what we’re doing.

Also I know what I just said, but I just recognized your username and want to say that I’ve appreciated seeing your posts around. In addition to you being quite attractive, post op trans women posting nudes outside of recovery pics (which always end right about when you’re healed enough to get distracted) is not super common and can go a huge way to destigmatizing our bodies and dispelling misconceptions.
