You’d think they’d want to come to an arrangement with Masimo, but Apple’s pettiness knows no bounds, as JWZ documents.

The US is unlike a lot of other places apparently, where a patent holder can be forced to license the technology on reasonable terms.

I would guess you'd have to actually negotiate before implementing it.

Waiting until the patent holder sues you for selling an infringing product should void that opportunity.

Obviously IANAL though
