Any recommendations for a DIY smart doorbell? (lemmy.world)

I now have access to a 3D printer and a bit of time. I’d like to skip this dance of smart doorbells kinda working , kinda not with home assistant. Any DIY doorbell projects out there the community can recommend?

You could use an ESP32-CAM board with a button, maybe add a speaker/mic if needed. It looks like the project linked by the other comment is basically doing that!
