Hi guys,

did anybody try to switch from kde to a window manager like awesome/i3 on the steamdeck?

I never played around with imutable distros ... I guess this might block some tinkering

thx for sharing your experience ... i run awesome myself on all devices (except the headless ones) - that's also my desire if it comes to consider a distro especially immutable distros

every tool installed is handpicked and only those packages are installed which are necessary for my purpose

i'm not sure if an WM makes sense on a distro focused on running mainly the steamclient (main input will be the controller anyhow) - but befor trying it out i wanted to get some input and i appreciate the feedback - thx

[News] - News about the deck.
[PSA] - Sharing important information.
[Game] - News / info about a game on the deck.
[Update] - An update to a previous post.
[Meta] - Discussion about this community.

Some more Steam Deck specific flairs:
[Boot Screen] - Custom boot screens/videos.
[Selling] - If you are selling your deck.

These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.
