Russian and Chinese authoritarianism is bad. America incarcerates more people than both. A French cop shooting a 17 year old during a traffic stop is probably also not a useful use of state force. I could be wrong, but I hope this answers your question.
Let him answer, he is a 7 hours old account who is shouting "all cops are bad" at the young people. I want his version.
As much as I plan on following suit, I think this kind of petty commenting can stay on reddit.
I challenge you to explain why.
I don't quite get the relevency of your question if your issue is with all cops be bad. I mean yes. Chinese and russian cops would be some of the worst examples. Thats not going to lend credence against the statement. I would think something along the lines about naming a cop who has done something heoric recently in the news and asking if they are bad. I realize this is sorta meta but it sounds like you hate the statement with the thread convo but then the question you originally posed does not really challenge the statement.
There is a very high chance that this kind of calls to ACAB are coming from lemmy people, who have been spoonfed the tankies ideology for some time now, specially if it's a very fresh account. We are a new territory to take for them.
I still think you challenge question could have been better. Its a bit ironic that you think the all cops are bad comment is bad based on the idea that all lemmy people are bad. At least, thats what it kinda sounds like. I mean I chose kbin over lemmy but im not like a kbinocentrist.
So what, address the merit of the argument not the assumed background of the messenger.
No, in this case the messenger is the point. There is a motive behind the message.

Not all instances on lemmy are full of tankies. I am an anarchosyndicalist and like tankies about as much as they are liked by foxnews ~~although I have better reasons for it~~. There are only a few instances where you can share the views of tankies without getting repercussions.
