Smartpens like the Echo 2 can be very helpful for students with learning disabilities. The pen uses special paper that syncs your notes with the lecture. So when a student taps the pen to a specific bullet point the audio of what the professor was saying at that exact moment is played. This makes studying and note-taking easier. Students do not need to write everything down because the pen is always recording. They just need to jot the key info down and can rely on the audio recording for the rest.
