The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has now weighed in on the hospital situation in northern Gaza.

In a statement, it warned that hospitals in the Palestinian enclave have "reached a point of no return", risking the lives of thousands of people.

The ICRC said its staff attempting to deliver medical supplies had witnessed "horrendous" scenes, and described the destruction as "unbearable".

It also highlighted attacks on children's hospitals, including Al-Rantisi, which we've been reporting on today, saying they had "not been spared from violence."

The humanitarian organisation, which is the guardian of the Geneva Conventions, repeated its demand that hospitals and healthcare workers, under international law, must be protected.

I'll believe that when me shit turns purple and tastes of rainbow sherbet.

Somehow you have proof of something the entire world would live to have but wait.... We'll all have to trust you the random Internet douchebag with too much confidence and a shitty attitude.

We call that an anecdote, you need supporting evidence which we all know you do not have.

Your entire world is you and the people who agree with you. People that don't are not part of your world. Open source intelligence is a thing.

[-] Madison420@lemmy.world 5 points 10 months ago

Not at all babe, similarly that was a terrible attempt at gaslighting. Do better.

Indeed it is, I can't help but notice you didn't provide any intelligence and I bet if I get into it your ip isn't now nor has it ever likely been in the area of the Levant point blank period.

Amusingly stupid.

You link Israeli strikes and go "look things explode when you drop bombs on them! That's proof!"

You somehow think Israel, the country that makes the chains and refuses to substantiate them aren't aware of your publicly posted Twitter videos..... That an entire planet focused on the conflict somehow haven't analyzed the claims and relevant videos.... But you some douchebag on the Internet know better than all of them....

Get a job, if you finna troll do better.

[-] Rapidcreek@reddthat.com 2 points 10 months ago

Sigh... the secondaries are proof that something explosive was his. Could it be rockets? Which is what I said before you butted into the conversation

[-] Madison420@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago

Well I'm glad I've gotten your military opinion. Remind me again what your qualifications are? Gunna go ahead and bet it's not asymmetric warfare, eod, or munitions.

[-] Rapidcreek@reddthat.com 2 points 10 months ago

Common sense opion. Asymmetric warfare? I think you need to read the definition

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asymmetric_warfare

[-] Madison420@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

The definition that directly describes this "war" and iirc actually references it in the sources.

Ed

The ongoing conflict between Israel and some Palestinian organizations (such as Hamas and Islamic Jihad) is a classic case of asymmetric warfare. Israel has a powerful army, air force and navy, while the Palestinian organizations have no access to large-scale military equipment with which to conduct operations;[41] instead, they utilize asymmetric tactics, such as knife attacks, small gunfights, cross-border sniping, rocket attacks,[42] and suicide bombings.[43][44]

You dumb.

[-] Rapidcreek@reddthat.com 1 points 10 months ago

Yes but you obviously don't understand what it means. How could secondary explosions be the result of asymmetrical warfare? Fact is Hamas stores rockets in tunnels near Hospitals. If they were actual a state with a professional army I guess they wouldn't have to, but that seems besides the point.

[-] Madison420@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

Oh you're adorable, you speak like you understand war but don't get how asymmetric warfare is relevant, similarly no one said a secondary explosion is the result of assymetry...

Sure, perhaps we've not seen it and there's no proof Israel is willing to provide. That is however the result of asymmetric warfare. If you can't build a bunker you gotta find somewhere safe to store things.

Fun thought experiment, proto Israeli terrorists took part in a civilian bombing campaign starting in 1946. Take a guess where weapons and supplies were routinely found.

[-] Rapidcreek@reddthat.com 1 points 10 months ago

You seriously have a problem. You can't even note that the clips are from a Palestinian point of view. That bunker, as you call it, is close to a hospital and before you butted in that was the 0oint of contention. The bottom clip shows hamas shooting at peo0le they use as human shields. Both of these things are against the rules of war asymmetrical or not.

[-] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago

I don't care who filmed them.

Your first video shows a series of explosions, some of which you claim inexpertly to be secondary explosions though no actual effort has to my knowledge supported that claim.

You're second isn't even from Palestine or Israel, not was it actually even Hamas which it says in the video lol.

The third clip shows a shooting but you very specifically don't see who's shooting and Palestinians have claimed isrealis are killing them as they leave while Israel admits to intentional hospital and school bombings, funny how that works.

The Geneva convention doesn't apply, Israel and Palestine never signed it and insurgencies aren't covered by it anyway. It's just shitty morally just admit 100x worse on Israels part given they've killed about 14000 non combatants compared to their 1400.

Stop simping for a government that would happily murder you.

[-] Rapidcreek@reddthat.com 1 points 10 months ago

I don't care who filmed them.

Finally a bit of truth.

The Geneva convention doesn't apply

There's more than the Geneva convention.

Stop simping for a government that would happily murder you.

I'm sure Hamas would throw you off a bridge before anything would happen to me.

[-] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

Oh id love to know how that's a bad thing. Are you implying I should be biased towards who films what rather than the content?

Sure, none apply to insurgencies.

No doubt they would homie, I fuckin hate them both and I'm very vocal about it. Whereas I think you'd probably shuck and jive to whomever benefits you the most.

[-] Rapidcreek@reddthat.com 1 points 10 months ago

I'm implying you are a gas filled ball that only wants to argue - not really caring about fact or logic.. I'll block you sometime in the future so I don't have to spend any more time on you,

Thanks for calling me a... STAR.

  • not really caring about fact or logic..

You haven't provided any, you've provided by your own admission anecdote and opinion.

I'll block you sometime in the future so I don't have to spend any more time on you,

You actually think that's a punishment? Cute.
