Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Why did you find the need to use the rpm-ostree command¿? Isn't the purpose of immutability to use flatpaks and containers to get all your apps/software
How to update the base OS then?
Well for me it auto updates and stages in the background. There is config file
/etc/rpm-ostreed.confin which you can set theAutomaticUpdatePolicytostage. Then it will automatically check for updates once a day(I think) and will download and stage it. The update is then applied when you shutdown or rebootIf things changed for the better, great. Still think that for a single user setup Silverblue is a bit of an overkill.
