Israel has continued bombarding Gaza’s south despite telling 1.1 million people in the north of the besieged enclave to relocate there ahead of an expected ground offensive.

“We were displaced from Tal al-Hawa to Rafah at the request of the Israeli army, and this is what happened to us. My son is a 3-month-old martyr,” the father of a child killed in an attack in Rafah told Al Jazeera.

Portraying the Arabs as aggressors in the genocidal colonial project undertaken in occupied Palestine during the last 8 decades is racist and dishonest at best

The land has changed hands dozens of times throughout history, giving it to the Jewish people is no different from the Ottomans taking it, or the Romans, or the Greeks.

It is not Palestine, and has never been Palestine.

Meanwhile the surrounding Arab countries have vowed to genocide the Jewish people there. That is far more racist and genocidal.

you keep regurgitating racist propaganda

Palestine is the name the people who live there have called it in modern history. During occupation by the Ottomans and the British, it was a continuous population of the same people living there, no matter what it was called. This bullshit about the name and the idea that all Jews have a right to settle there and displace the people already living there just as much as the people already living there have the right to stay in their multigenerational homes is ridiculous. Do the Scots have the right to genocide away the French and take their land because it used to be Gaul in antiquity? The fact is that the current nation-state of Israel has, since its recent inception, been a consistently violent settler-colonial state. Starting with the Nakba, in which they "declared independence", killed thousands of their Palestinian neighbors, and displaced hundreds of thousands from 78% of the land area of pre-existing Palestine. And this was the goal from the beginning of the Zionist movement in Europe during the 19th century.
