Our cats usually just pick the nearest surface (often the kitchen floor)
I respect the hustle.
Yeah, every cat I've had always make sure to get to carpeted floor if they're going to be sick and avoid puking on anything I'm trying to place in front of them to avoid it ending up on the carpet. Can't get sick on the easy to clean tiles.
I wonder if they instinctively feel as if it's grass or something, and so they don't want to leave puke out in the open
Some post grad must have done a study on this.
Hey, I don’t do that when I puke.
Our cat isn't the brightest bulb in the box, she freaks out when she's about the puke and tries to run away from it, leaving a trail of vomit in her wake.
One of ours picks the nearest rug and leaves a puke trail down it.
The other finds the nearest elevated furniture surface and pukes off the edge, the last time this one did this she managed to puke all down an old wooden chest and straight into a good pair of shoes.
