I really wanted to fully switch to Lemmy from Reddit but I recently got into star rail and I just browse the sub daily. If someone makes a star rail sub here that would be awesome.
You could make it on your home instance!
And have to moderate it and pay for server space? Fat chance.
You would have to moderate it, but you don't have to pay for the instance (unless you host it that is).
Asking everyone who's interested in a subject to be the one to moderate a damn community is a bit much. Even people who want that kind of responsibility will have to deal with deciding on the instance, since you evidently need like 19 accounts for every instance that might have the shit you want.
The more I try to understand this site, the more is seems like an absolute nightmare.
It's just part of a new environment. I started using reddit well after it was fully established. Just so happens we don't have much of an alternative. I totally understand not wanting to mod a community, seems like most don't want to. That being said, it's going to take some time and effort to replicate what we're losing.
If this new environment doesn't shape the fuck up and fast, it's gonna get Voated. Most of the communities here don't exactly have robust moderation, and I doubt there's even half-decent moderation tools; no automods in sight.
Seriously, for all the hippie-dippie Linux crap nobody here seems to be taking the idea of this site growing hundredfold overnight even remotely seriously. This place is doomed.
