Would you consider Annihilation (2018) a horror movie? (programming.dev)

I wasn't scared by the movie, but it has a similar dread throughout the movie. There are also some jump scares, and the ending has that 'evil didn't really get defeated' quality.

I'm terrible at horror movies. The bear was in my mind for months. Even now it still comes to mind when I'm closing my eyes in the shower.

I did not read the billing, did not realize it was at all a horror movie going in.
