Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!
Rules:
- Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.
Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.
Example:
- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.
That's all the rules!

...Why are we allowing Daily Wire here?
Same reason we keep seeing "mediaite" - I assume this community has no standards.
Mediaite has a relatively good reliability score when it comes to bias. It's slightly left-wing but entirely accurate.
The current community policy seems to be we're responsible for vetting our own sources. I understand that philosophy, though I think a mod comment with materials on reliability.
I would really like to see a bot that posts media bias information from one of the trusted sites for that information on every post. I’m not capable of creating one but had looked around and unfortunately none of them seem to offer an api.
I could potentially program one, a simple TypeScript bot probably wouldn't be too hard. I'll look into it later.
To point and laugh at them.
Don't give them clicks dummy. They don't care if you like them or not. They just want attention.
If you don't like a source, downvote it. The Fediverse is quite large and people have different opinions which is how politics works.
As for bias, though it is a strong right-wing it doesn't fall outside the creditable category. It doesn't hurt to read and understand what the other side is saying.
So you believe that opposes view points than your own should be censored? Our policy here is that we refuse to be an echo chamber where opposing views are not allowed. We WANT both sides represented so that mutual understanding can be formed. That means you will be exposed to opposing views, many you won't agree with. That is the heart of politics and the purpose is to find common ground and compromise.
Deleted my original comment, because I immediately saw this coming. I'm not interested in defending why attacking trans folks and denying systemic racism is bad, or why queer people aren't actually The Devil(TM).
Allowing alternate viewpoints is valid. Giving an entire site which regularly platforms hate and spreads disinformation (by your own earlier link, DW is middling at best) is not. Daily Wire has shown a consistent and intentional willingness to lie, misrepresent, and foment hate.
But sure. Hold on to your "both sides." Have a nice day, I'll see myself out.
So, yes, you want an echo chamber. That's not the type of close minded community we have here. There are several ultra left wing only communities that might appeal to you. As for your single issue, we don't allow hatred toward any group here nore does LW in general.
Disagreeing with platforming misinformation = ultra-left-wing??? In what universe?
Censorship is a mark of both ends of the political spectrum.
