It's funny that Coles is now pulling out the whole red hand thing, now that people are getting a bit louder about groceries costing more.

"We’ve never been more excited. Whenever you see the Big Red Hand at Coles, it means you’re getting ‘Great value. Hands down.’." Yeah sure, $1.30 off, what a big bargin! Can't wait for them to pull the whole "members only" thing that Woolworths seem to be doing as of late. (Sorry that's a Reddit link, only other things I could find were Murdoch Media or crap).

Woolies has IKEA Family now?

I guess this is the end game for capitalism. Hyper personalised, manipulative, subject to constant surveillance. All design to ensure you spend more than you intended to and give over more and more data.

Nick Cave did a song about that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrxePKps87k

You ain’t got no money? He’ll get you some You ain’t got no car? He’ll get you one You ain’t got no self-respect,
you feel like an insect Well don’t you worry buddy,
cause here he comes Through the ghetto and the barrio
and the Bowery and the slum A shadow is cast wherever he stands Stacks of green paper in his
red right hand
