MODERATORS
In every state besides Montana you can be fired without notice for any legal reason. Unless you have a good reason to fire someone, the employee can file for unemployment, which the company pays a premium for through unemployment insurance. It's bad management on the company's end to fire, pay unemployment for, and rehire/retrain a replacement for workers without a good reason because it costs a large amount of money unnecessarily, so you'll generally only find companies with shitty management (aka Elon Musk) doing this sort of thing
