It's "its investments in the tools, technology, and services that allow it to maintain its App Store and software." is entirely money it's spent to monopolize the application market on the phones it sells. Fuck the App Store and fuck the ridiculous hoops you have to jump through to get an app on an Apple phone, even for testing. And of course Google sees that and is trying to go down exactly the same road.
A good Linux phone can't happen soon enough.
google already lost this case https://www.howtogeek.com/the-first-alternative-android-app-store-is-now-available-in-google-play-in-the-us/.
I'm surprised this is on the US before Europe
