Looks like flock cameras lower property value
(lemmy.dbzer0.com)
Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) are AI-powered cameras that capture and analyze images of all passing vehicles, storing details like your car’s location, date, and time. They also capture your car’s make, model, color, and identifying features such as dents, roof racks, and bumper stickers, often turning these into searchable data points. These cameras collect data on millions of vehicles—regardless of whether the driver is suspected of a crime. While these systems can be useful for tracking stolen cars or wanted individuals, they are mostly used to track the movements of innocent people.

So you're saying the realtor should advocate to have the camera taken down?
I mean, I'd be all for that as a means to get rid of them, but I'm pretty sure that is NOT going to happen.
I'm not a realtor, and I hate that business, but yes absolutely. You're working for the buyer or the seller.
For example, in the u.s. If you want to buy a house, get your own rep. If you want to sell a house, get your own rep. None of this is /real/ and it's fucking stupid but it is like cutting the grass. Its what you're supposed to do
But also yeah that real estate person has an obligation to advocate for their client
