I think overall it will be good. We already rely on windows dependent games anyway for 90% of the gaming on the platform. So I don't see why gamepass would be any different than wine or proton.

If we were gonna hold that line, then really we should have been super against having any type of transitional layer as a whole. But I don't think that's the right choice because the Linux ecosystem is a minority and you're not going to get that to change anytime soon by making it actively harder for people to want to jump in. I think that it needs all the help that it can get currently.
