It's one of the things I actually like about ADHD, if it can even be considered a result of it.

More often what will happen to me: I'm a wheelchair user and I spend most of my day at my desk. Sometimes I'll think - I'm hungry or thirsty - I'll get something after I finish this.

Then the relevant thing that happens: Some time later, I'll unlock my chair and start to head for the kitchen - and be like - why am I going to the kitchen? ......Oh yeah, I was hungry/thirsty.

I didn't make a conscious decision to go get anything, but apprently I made an unconscious one that led to physical action.

It's almost like the subconscious brain does have some control over the body. Almost scary. heh.
