Rules:

Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

MODERATORS
For me grey is a nice utility color. Black cars show dirt easy as do white cars. Grey cars, not as much.
If you want to hide dirt, go with paisley, or something comparable.
Honestly, nothing is better at hiding a stain than a Hawaiian shirt, that same principle can be used anywhere.
Some car manufacturers have used WWI-style dazzle camouflage to make it harder to photograph prototype cars.
If it's hard for a viewer to even make out the car's lines, probably hard to make out anything on the car too.
You know what, fuck it, I might consider that, given that my daily driver is starting to become a bit of a project car anyway. Buying a Chinese MPPS clone was a mistake, now I want a front-mount intercooler and a hybrid turbo and I already know what car's injectors would easily spray more than mine if I raise the rail pressure which I can do no problem since I have a CP3 R90 high pressure fuel pump and...
The downside of both of those cars is, that you probably get pulled over on a regular basis.
I like colorful cars more, I really noticed how bland they were on the east coast of the us recently. White, grey, black. Almost all of them.
On the other hand, people seem bizarrely obsessed with washing their cars. I get the idea of removing salt if you live where that's a thing, but otherwise I only wash my car maybe yearly. I just don't care that much.
We have a papyrus white Trabant, and it's the exact colour of dried dirt. Never looks dirty.
