I was interested in finding out why Ford signed such a good contract with Canadian autoworkers. What I found wasn't what I expected. But I do think it we can have something like a win-win if the country brings in Chinese EVs. Look at the numbers in my article and tell me what you think---.

You missed my point entirely. Even here in one of the most bikeable places, people find excuses. Yes, it other places some of those excuses become legitimate reasons, but often they are not; in many cases, they're still just excuses.

Friend, you are making an irrelevant point, and you're not making it well. Every single human being in your city could be making "disingenuous" excuses, and it would not change that most Canadians do not even have this as an option due to systemic failures, which is what I have said. It does not matter if you can read minds and tell who is authentically unable to make use of these things or who is just a liar liar pants on fire, because the car dependent system we live under makes that choice for the rest of us.

Finger waving may be cathartic for you, but I don't really care about who is naughty or nice when we have forest fires the size of Southern Ontario every year and I'm nearly killed by a light truck almost weekly. I want this system to end, and moralizing your consumer habits is hardly helpful in that.
